Competition at the end of the sixth week

2007-04-02 17:30

World TopInvestor participants had to react to a lot of noise this week. It started with tension with Iran, then additional comments from Bernanke, then higher oil prices and it ended with the end of the quarter trading for institutions. Friday saw prices bounce all over the place and end the day more or less where they started. We are entering the first earnings season this year and also a shorter week due to Easter.

The World TopInvestor sees Tibor Varga on the lead and overtake the Slovenian Ales by actually doing nothing but holding his long position in XAGUSD established in the very first day of the competition. His strategy remains the same build a position in the direction of the trend and let the trend work. Ales the leading Slovenian competitor is now second with gains of 125% in six weeks. He lost 10 percentage points on friday trading CFDs on American stocks. Tamás Schmidt remains third on the World rankings but kept himself on the sidelines for the whole week.
